Recipe Description

Savor our Chili Con Carne, a robust blend of organic beans, savory meat, rich spices, meticulously slow-cooked to perfection. A deeply comforting, hearty dish that warms with every bite

Steps

1. Heat a drizzle of ÍON Sunflower Oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Add the beef mince to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
5. Once the beef is browned, add the grated carrots and chopped celery to the pot. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
6. Stir in the ÍON Oil Chilli Con Carne Organic Mix, making sure to coat the beef and vegetables evenly with the spices.
7. Add the chopped tomatoes and red kidney beans to the pot. Stir well to combine.
8. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer gently for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
9. Taste the chilli and season with salt and pepper as needed.
10. Serve the chilli hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley and coriander.

– 400g red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
– Fresh parsley and fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– ÍON Sunflower Oil for cooking
